Sleeter Group Expert Forum, powered by Yahoo! Groups

Our Expert Forum, powered by Yahoo! Groups, is exclusive to SGCN members. Members use this tool to communicate about QuickBooks and other accounting software, ask technical questions, pass along referrals, etc. The Expert Forum is also The Sleeter Group's primary method of communication with our members.

Upon joining the Consultants Network, you will receive an e-mail invitation from Yahoo! Groups to join the Expert Forum. Yahoo! Groups works by allowing members to send an e-mail to a specially designated e-mail address, and the Yahoo! Group automatically forwards the e-mail to all SGCN members who have joined the Group. You can choose to receive all individual e-mails, a daily digest (periodic e-mails, each with an accumulation of recent messages sent), or none at all (you simply visit the group's Web site to look up information).

This valuable tool is rated as the most beneficial feature by current members. We strongly suggest that all members participate in this benefit. Since the Expert Forum is a closed Yahoo! Group, you will need to be approved by The Sleeter Group after registering. Approval normally occurs within 24 hours of registering.

Members receive a printed Consultant's Reference Guide, the bible for QuickBooks consultants, as well as access to a downloadable PDF, during the first membership year. After your first membership year, updates to the book are available in downloadable PDF format only. Non-first year members may purchase a printed book for $35 plus shipping.

Monthly Members-Only Conference Call / Online Meeting

A monthly members-only conference call and online meeting, hosted by Doug Sleeter, covers the latest accounting software news, developments, and member information. The meeting is free to members and is presented using GoToWebinar and a toll telephone call or VoIP connection. Registration for each call is required. The calls are generally held on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 12 noon Pacific.

20% Commission on EiPrinting Affiliate Program

Earn a commision by referring your clients to order checks, forms, and other supplies. EiPrinting normally offers a 15% commission; however, as a Sleeter Consultant, you will receive a 20% commission. You will need to sign up as an affiliate on their Website and then refer your clients to purchase there. After you sign up, EiPrinting will give you access to an area where you can create special links that your clients will use when placing orders.

Take our QuickBooks certification exam, and become a Sleeter Group Certified QuickBooks Consultant upon passing. Once you become Certified, you will be linked on our searchable Find-a-Consultant Web page. We also send you a Sleeter Group Certified lapel pin as well as a ready to-frame certificate for your wall. Becoming Sleeter Group Certified adds credibility to your practice.

Secure Online File Sharing, powered by ShareFile

Stop traveling to your client's site to get a copy of their data files. By using our easy-to-use secure FTP site, you can exchange files with your clients without leaving your office. Share QuickBooks or any other file types with as many clients as you like. There is no additional cost to you or your clients for up to 1GB per month of file transfer and up to 500MB of file storage at any given time. (Once you exceed these limits, you will be offered the opportunity to upgrade your service. You may also upgrade your service to a private-labeled site.) Your clients will receive an automatic notification when you upload a file to their folder that you set up on our site. The client can also post files for you in their folder and you will receive an automatic e-mail notification when they do so.

QuickBooks Testing Systems

We have developed exams to be used to pre-screen accounting candidates for you or your clients. We have three tests for our members to use: QuickBooks Bookkeepers exam, QuickBooks Controller exam, and QuickBooks Consultant hiring exam. We send the results of the exams to you via e-mail.
