Product FAQ:
I'm having trouble creating the zero dollar check for Jance Reynolds in problem at the end of the Time Tracking Chapter.

In 2008, we found that the Pay for Time Worked window no longer appears for time dated as far back as 2006. However, if the time is entered for the current year instead of 2006, the exercise works normally.

Our suggestion is to use all the same dates listed in the exercise, only replace the year with the current year. For example, if the current year is 2008, replace the Sales Receipt date with 1/31/2008. Note that when entering the weekly timesheet, you will need to choose the closest Monday to 1/23.

I’m having trouble with the Payroll Processing chapter? Why can’t I print Payroll Forms?

Recent updates to QuickBooks 2006 have disabled printing Payroll Forms with Manual Payroll. Although this change makes sense for most QuickBooks users, since it prevents printing out of date forms, it affects several exercises in our books.

We recommend that students who are experiencing problems read through these sections of the Payroll Processing chapter without completing the steps. This issue should not affect students working on computers that have a payroll subscriptions.
