The Custom Reporting ODBC Connection that came out with QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions 2011 is a wonderful feature that allows faster access to more information than ever before. However, if you’ve ever tried using it with Excel, you may have been frustrated to learn that it doesn’t always work as expected.
I’ve talked about the problems that you can run into with the optional Enhanced Inventory Receiving (EIR) function in QuickBooks Enterprise V12, but there are still situations where you may find that this feature is needed. Let’s talk about some workarounds that are available for one of the big problems.
Intuit added the ability to manage serial numbers in QuickBooks Enterprise V12 with the Advanced Inventory option, and I’ve had a couple of clients point out a “bug” that was frustrating them relating to editing of sales forms and this feature. Turns out it isn’t a bug, just an odd way to implement this feature. […]
Intuit has released the QuickBooks 2012 R8 update for the U.S. version of QuickBooks. This is another major update for the 2012 product, with a long list of changes. Please note that I have not had the opportunity to check or confirm each of the issues listed here. At the time I’m writing this the […]
Early after QuickBooks Enterprise V12.0 was released there were several bugs associated with the new Auto Cost/Price Update feature, which were reported as being resolved by subsequent updates. Intuit has released the QuickBooks 2012 R4 update for the U.S. versions of QuickBooks. The list of changes is small, BUT the fix is important for Enterprise users. This addresses the problems that I described in my article on the QuickBooks Enterprise price/cost update bug.
Intuit is sending out notices to Enterprise V12 users about a problem with the new price/cost update feature. You might not see this notice, as it might not go to all users and I’m not sure if they are notifying ProAdvisors. Even if you have updated to the R3 release you still may run into […]
