QuickBooks 2011 R11 Released

May 24, 2012 | By | Reply More

Intuit has released the QuickBooks 2011 R11 update for the U.S. version of QuickBooks. Just two changes that I am aware of. Please note that I have not had the opportunity to check or confirm each of the issues listed here. At the time I’m writing this the release is available as a manual update from the Intuit support web site. I would expect this to be released as an automatic update within a week, if all goes well.

Sales Forms: This fixes a problem where QuickBooks was displaying “unrecoverable errors”, and closing the program, when you were using, saving or sending  forms. This was occurring, for some users, with sales orders, invoices, purchase orders and possibly other forms. I believe that this error was introduced fairly recently (but I’m not sure on that).

QuickBooks Merchant Services: You no longer will need to be logged in as the Admin user to process credit card payments.

If you have run into either of these issues then I would recommend that you update your installation. If you haven’t had these kinds of problems, I would recommend that you wait awhile before jumping in (not for any particular reason, I’m just a cautious person).
