We’d Like Your Feedback

February 9, 2012 | By | 6 Replies More

We started QuickBooks and Beyond a year ago, and it is time for us to get some feedback from our readers. I hope that you can find the time to take a short survey (the link is at the bottom of the article).

Several years ago I started “Practical QuickBooks”, a blog that would let me write short articles that answered common questions that were being asked in the Intuit Community Forum. I was tired of writing the same answers over and over. Starting a blog let me write the answer one time and then just point people to that answer. Also, the blog format let me give more detailed answers, with screen shots.

Then Doug Sleeter asked me if I was interested in creating a blog for The Sleeter Group, with better resources and the ability to reach a wider audience. Not only that, but he offered me “full editorial control”, without my having to get things approved by him. I hope that he doesn’t regret THAT decision!

So, it has been a year now – time for us to ask YOU what kinds of articles you would like to see added, what you want to see more of, and what you DON’T want to see again. So, please click here to take survey!

Thanks for your help, and here we go with Year 2 of the blog!

I second Murph…. keep up the great work! I look forward to another year of excellent information.

    Charlie,

Thanks for your objective analysis. The one thing that I believe separates Sleeter Consultants from all others is the ability to objectively analyze a Company’s accounting system and determine where the weaknesses exist and, just as critically, identify what is needed to bring the system back to its optimal level where the business owner will rely on the data being generated. And your contributions to this cause as part of the Sleeter Group are essential I believe. Peter

Many of the articles don’t seem to be of interest to me but many are. Please keep up the good work. I’m considering moving from QB Enterprise 12 because it’s so poor on the order entry and processing. Silly little box to enter a product description. Price levels are very poor and it appears that Intuit is mostly interested in adding features that they can charge for as opposed to fixing the most common needs. How about an alternate address for payable remittance. How tough would that be?

  5. Ed Jaworski says:

Charlie, your frank and independant observations and viewpoints are what makes your articles so valuable. I know I’m not getting some Intuit spin, but a true picture of what works and what doesn’t work. I love your focus on reviews of QuickBooks features, spotlight on bugs and problems with new releases, useful add-on reviews, and everyday tips and techniques.

I hope you are able to keep up the outstanding service to the QuickBooks community for “next year and Beyond”.

I consider myself to be an expert QB user, but I look forward to reading all your messages. You point out new features I haven’t tried and alert me to bugs to watch out for. Wholehearted thanks for your valuable service!
