QuickBooks 2010 R13 Released

September 19, 2011 | By | Reply More

Intuit has just released the QuickBooks 2010 R13 update for the U.S. versions of QuickBooks. As far as I can tell this is a fairly minor release.

Tax line assignments for Turbo Tax: There are some updates in the process used for moving QuickBooks data into Turbo Tax. This has been “improved” – don’t know what that means.

Retirement Benefits Help: The Help information for this area has been improved.

Payroll: Direct deposit messaging has been updated to include which Vendor check is incorrect or incomplete.

Home Page Changes: The Employee Benefits icon on the Home Page has two new options, Intuit Health Benefits and View My Paycheck.

Not a lot of changes here. It is nice to see that QuickBooks 2010 is stable enough to not need big updates.

This is available as a manual update from the QuickBooks support web site now. I don’t know the specific date for an automatic update. Given the history of recent updates with QuickBooks 2011, and the minor nature of the updates in this release, I would recommend waiting for the automatic update. Maybe even wait for a week or two after the automatic update…
