BQE Software Launches BillQuick 2006 Time Billing Software

Announcing BillQuick® 2006, the most powerful, scalable and effective time and billing software system on the market from BQE Software Inc. BillQuick 2006 provides users a new line-up of industry-specific features for architects, engineers, computer consultants, CPAs, business consultants, accountants and attorneys, thus enabling companies to easily and efficiently better service their unique customer needs.

BillQuick supports fixed fee, recurring and hourly billing down to 1/100th of an hour, which can be set at the client or project level, and the system includes retainer-based fee management. BillQuick supports unlimited number of rates per timekeeper, client, project and task via its Service Fee Schedule. As well, the system supports a virtually unlimited number of clients, projects and tasks, with multiple rates each. The system automatically manages both actual time and billable time, using an A-B method by which it records two separate hour fields with each time entry: A-Hours and B-Hours. The A-Hours (actual hours) are used to record the true amount of time spent on a task so that management can monitor productivity or use it for job-cost reports or basing payroll amounts. B-Hours (billable hours) are billed to clients when invoicing. BillQuick also allows minimum billable hours to be assigned to tasks and can set spending caps or other limits and alert management as necessary.

BillQuick puts project staffing, forecasting and budgeting into the hands of the person most familiar with the project requirements and performance, the project manager. Budget Alerts allows a project manager to monitor amount spent, status, percent complete and budget used. Also, monitor excessive work in progress, receivables, work in hand inventory, non-billable hours, vacation/sick/comp time accumulated and taken, and much more. BillQuick 2006 has redefined ease-of-use by adding four new smart navigators that give the user quick access to information. The embedded charts provide a dashboard view cash flow, billings, unbilled time, and Top 10’s. Support for multi-currency includes a user-defined conversion table, currency symbols, decimal, and separators. BillQuick saves applied conversion rates with the invoice, ensuring the same conversion rate is used when recording payments.
