pc/MRP Overview

pc/MRP is a fully integrated MRP/Inventory/Accounting program that can use QuickBooks as its accounting module. pc/MRP comes complete with 10 integrated modules, Inventory, Bills of Materials, Stock Room, Purchasing, Receiving, Work Orders, Sales, Invoice, Customer and Vendor Addresses. pc/MRP' overall feature list includes:

pc/MRP allows companies using QuickBooks to implement an MRP system while continuing to use QuickBooks as their accounting module. Companies can manage multi-level BOMs (up to 100 levels deep) and their associated costs (pc/MRP supports Standard Cost and Average Cost). pc/MRP’s MRP Module allows companies to generate MRP Reports (Buy, Push/Pull, Visual Timeline). pc/MRP’s Stockroom Module allows companies to issue parts and sub-assemblies to sales/work orders and later receive them back as completed assemblies.

pc/MRP/QuickBooks Interface

Initially pc/MRP imports customers, vendors and part numbers from QuickBooks into pc/MRP. From then on all new customers, vendors, part numbers, bills of materials, stockroom transactions, purchase orders, receivers, sales orders, work orders and invoices are entered into pc/MRP. pc/MRP invoices and receivers are automatically exported into QuickBooks. If QuickBooks does not contain the customer, vendor, or part number listed on the invoice or receiver it is also exported into QuickBooks.

When exporting invoices, pc/MRP debits and credits the appropriate QuickBooks accounts including AR, Cost of Goods Sold, Business Income, Inventory, Sales Tax Liability, Freight Income, Sales Discount, Gross Wage Expense and Overhead (if labor is included in the BOM).

When exporting receivers, pc/MRP debits and credits the following QuickBooks accounts AP, Inventory/Expense, and Freight Expense. An accountant must edit a receiver and add the vendor invoice number to it before it can be exported.

pc/MRP is the base program, used to control inventory, generate purchase orders, receivers, work orders, stockroom transactions, sales orders and invoices.

QuickBooks is used as the accounting module to make deposits, pay bills, print financial statements, and generate credit or debit memos.
