The Sleeter Group is a community of experts who provide consulting services to small business owners in the accounting software and business process design areas. Our experts provide the critical glue (consulting and implementation services) that connects technology solutions to the needs of small business clients.
We have developed a national reputation as being the highest-quality provider of QuickBooks training materials, consultant's technical reference materials, and software expertise. We have developed a broad range of "best practices" for proper implementation of small business accounting software and we act as the most trusted advisors for our small business clients.
The Sleeter Group provides QuickBooks training resources to QuickBooks users and QuickBooks consultants. Resources include QuickBooks reference books, expert level webinars, an annual Accounting Software Consulting Conference, a QuickBooks consultant certification program, a QuickBooks consultant membership network, QuickBooks practice management tools, QuickBooks teaching systems, QuickBooks set up and consulting services, expert level QuickBooks technical support, and a free online QuickBooks newsletter.
The Sleeter Group was established in 1994 and is based in Pleasanton, California in the San Francisco bay area. The Sleeter Group has trained over 30,000 clients on QuickBooks. Intuit Inc. has endorsed many Sleeter Group seminars and conferences. The Sleeter Group has built a national reputation for high quality materials and instruction. In doing so, we have become the "Graduate School" for QuickBooks and small business accounting. |

Doug Sleeter is
the Founder of The Sleeter Group. Doug spent his early childhood in Fresno, CA moving
to Santa Cruz, CA in 1974. In 1979 he attended the University
of California Santa Cruz where he received his Bachelor of Science
degree in Computer and Information Science. Doug worked for several years as a
staff accountant for several accounting firms. In addition to his accounting background, Doug has extensive
experience in the software industry working with software developers
and industry leaders such as Apple Computer, Adobe Systems,
Silicon Graphics and Quorum Software.
In 2008, Accounting Today, the premier news source for the accounting profession, named Doug Sleeter
to its list of the "Top 100 Most Influential People in Accounting."
Doug's in-depth knowledge of QuickBooks and
his "systems" approach to solving small business accounting
problems has earned him the reputation of being one of the nation's
leading QuickBooks and small business accounting software experts.
Doug was
a pioneer in developing the first QuickBooks seminars in the
country and was selected to develop early Intuit training materials.
He has consulted with Intuit on the development of the
QuickBooks product line and he also consults with several other software and hardware developers on product design, marketing, and distribution strategies.
In addition to
consulting directly with developers and small business owners including several
international clients, Doug provides expert level support and
consulting to hundreds of QuickBooks consultants through the Sleeter Group's Certified Consultant's Network, a
group of highly trained QuickBooks experts. He is the host of
the Sleeter Group's annual Accounting Software Consulting Conference,
bringing together consultants and software developers
from across the US and Canada. Doug is the author of over 40 QuickBooks reference books
and courseware materials and writes a regular column, The

| Sherrill
Sleeter (Co-Founder/Vice President) Sherrill serves as director of business operations, manages the Sleeter
Group's marketing & distribution channels, and is the event coordinator for seminars and conferences. Sherrill has more than 20 years of experience in software project implementation, hospital information systems, systems analysis, and facilitation of software training programs. Sherrill has twelve years experience planning, marketing and executing private QuickBooks seminars for end users and for Accounting Professionals. Sherrill holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Business Administration from California State University East Bay and is a lifetime member of Beta Gamma Sigma Society.
