The Sleeter Group is a community of experts who provide consulting services to small business owners in the accounting software and business process design areas. Our experts provide the critical glue (consulting and implementation services) that connects technology solutions to the needs of small business clients.

We have developed a national reputation as being the highest-quality provider of QuickBooks training materials, consultant's technical reference materials, and software expertise. We have developed a broad range of "best practices" for proper implementation of small business accounting software and we act as the most trusted advisors for our small business clients.

The Sleeter Group provides QuickBooks training resources to QuickBooks users and QuickBooks consultants. Resources include QuickBooks reference books, expert level webinars, an annual Accounting Software Consulting Conference, a QuickBooks consultant certification program, a QuickBooks consultant membership network, QuickBooks practice management tools, QuickBooks teaching systems, QuickBooks set up and consulting services, expert level QuickBooks technical support, and a free online QuickBooks newsletter.

The Sleeter Group was established in 1994 and is based in Pleasanton, California in the San Francisco bay area. The Sleeter Group has trained over 30,000 clients on QuickBooks. Intuit Inc. has endorsed many Sleeter Group seminars and conferences. The Sleeter Group has built a national reputation for high quality materials and instruction. In doing so, we have become the "Graduate School" for QuickBooks and small business accounting.

Doug Sleeter is the Founder of The Sleeter Group. His in-depth knowledge of QuickBooks and his "systems" approach to solving small business accounting problems has earned him the reputation of being one of the nation's leading QuickBooks and small business accounting software experts. He has been named one of the Top 100 Most Influential People in Accounting by Accounting Today magazine.

Doug was a pioneer in developing the first QuickBooks seminars in the country and was selected to develop early Intuit training materials. He has consulted with Intuit on the development of the QuickBooks product line and he also consults with several other software and hardware developers on product design, marketing, and distribution strategies.

Doug received his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer and Information Science from the University of California Santa Cruz. Prior to starting The Sleeter Group, Doug had extensive experience both as a staff accountant at several accounting firms and in the software industry working with industry leaders such as Apple Computer, Adobe Systems, Silicon Graphics and Quorum Software.

Doug provides expert level support and consulting to hundreds of QuickBooks consultants through the Sleeter Group's Certified Consultant's Network, a group of highly trained QuickBooks experts. He is the host of the Sleeter Group's annual Accounting Software Consulting Conference, bringing together consultants and software developers from across the US and Canada. Doug is the author of over 40 QuickBooks reference books and courseware materials and writes a regular column, The QuickBooks Advisor for The CPA Technology Advisor magazine. Sherrill Sleeter is a Co-Founder of The Sleeter Group. Sherrill serves as director of business operations, manages the Sleeter Group's marketing & distribution channels, and is the event coordinator for seminars and conferences. Sherrill has more than 20 years of experience in software project implementation, hospital information systems, systems analysis, and facilitation of software training programs. Sherrill has twelve years experience planning, marketing and executing private QuickBooks seminars for end users and for Accounting Professionals. Sherrill holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Business Administration from California State University East Bay and is a lifetime member of Beta Gamma Sigma Society. Deborah Pembrook serves as the Educational Products Manager for The Sleeter Group. She joined the company in 2006. Deborah manages the writing team for The Sleeter Group's Learning QuickBooks Step-by-Step series, The QuickBooks Complete College textbooks, as well as The QuickBooks Consultants Reference Guide. Nathan Fochler serves as a Marketing Assistant for The Sleeter Group. He joined the company in 2007. Nathan handles all aspects of customer service for The Sleeter Group including conference coordination and special projects for management. David Horwitz (Director of Marketing) joined The Sleeter Group in 2008. David is a veteran of Intuit and was most recently in the role of Relationship Manager on the Accounting Professionals team. David grew the Intuit Accountant Speakers Bureau from 30 to over 100 members, and enhanced Intuit's relationships with national and state CPA societies and accounting associations and their local chapters by improving communications and providing them with training services for their members. Prior to working at Intuit, David managed the Advanced Project Management professional education program at Stanford University. David has also held various strategic roles in marketing and alliances at Silicon Graphics, Baltimore Gas & Electric, and Infinite Technologies. Sheetal Reddy (Marketing Assistant) joined the Sleeter Group in 2008. Before joining us, Sheetal worked as a Marketing Coordinator for Milestone Internet Marketing, where she coordinated trade shows and assisted with customer service. Prior to this, she worked at Wells Fargo as a Personal Banker, helping clients with their personal finance needs. Do you need QuickBooks help? Certified members of the Sleeter Group Consultants Network are the answer! Sleeter Group Certified Consultants have been Sleeter Group trained and tested on QuickBooks. The exam each consultant is required to pass is more rigorous than any other certification process for QuickBooks consultants.

Sleeter Group Certified Consultants can customize your QuickBooks file to meet your unique needs, answer specific questions, or conduct one-on-one or group training sessions -- remotely or in your office.
